What is the Abu Dhabi Festival of Golf?

A five-night golf experience bringing together 300 amateurs and 100 professionals for four days of tournament golf across four of Abu Dhabi’s leading courses, alongside opening and closing celebrations.

Who can enter?

The Festival is open to amateur golfers (Male & Female) looking to experience a professionally run international Pro-Am in Abu Dhabi. Teams consist of three amateurs and one professional. You enter as a full team to compete in the event.

What handicap do I need?

Accepted Answer

Golfers must hold a current recognised handicap. Maximum handicap is 28. Final competition allowances will be confirmed closer to the event. All winners will be required to provide a current up to date handicap certificate. The event reserves the right to review/adjust handicaps if there is evidence that the index does not reflect the true ability of the participant.

When is the £250 deposit due?

A £250 per amateur deposit is required to secure your Festival place upon registration. The remaining balance and payment schedule will be confirmed following registration, 80 days prior to the event.

Do I need to bring my own professional?

Accepted Answer

No. You can enter as a team of three amateurs and we can allocate a professional to your team.However we would reccomend bringing a Pro that you would enjoy four days of golf with in Abu Dhabi

Are flights included?

Accepted Answer

No. Flights are not included, allowing participants to choose the airline and travel arrangements that suit them best.

Question 7

What is the tournament format?

Accepted Answer

Teams of three amateurs and one professional compete over four rounds, with two scores from four counting on each hole in a Stableford format. Professionals also compete in their own individual event, also in the Stableford format.

Can golfers share hotel rooms?

Can non-golfing partners attend?

Accepted Answer

Yes. Partners and guests are very welcome. Non-golfer packages and access to Festival social events can be arranged.

What is included in the package?

Accepted Answer

Four tournament rounds, professional participation, Opening and Closing Ceremonies, welcome gift, tournament administration and the complete Festival experience. Hotel packages also include five nights' accommodation and breakfast.

What happens after I register?

Accepted Answer

Once registered, we'll confirm your place and chosen package and provide payment details. You'll then receive regular Festival updates, travel information and everything you need ahead of your arrival in Abu Dhabi. If extra nights are required, one of our team will be able to help you arrange all your requests to make your trip to Abu Dhabi a special one.
